To apprehend the business environment of a company, PESTEL analysis can be utilized to evaluate political, environmental, economic, social, technological and legal factors. PESTEL analysis helps evaluate the macro-environment better and subsequently produce fruitful strategies. Another important method of analysis is the SWOT which examines the external aspects as threats or opportunities and the internal factors as strengths or weaknesses.
